Our services are operated by Taiwanese Matchmaker in Silicon Valley LLC, a California limited liability company, under the brand 矽谷月老 / Taiwanese Matchmaker in Silicon Valley (TWMMSV).

We organize social and dating events and facilitate voluntary introductions. Participants must be at least 18 and meet the requirements stated on the relevant event or service page. Please provide accurate information and respect other participants’ boundaries and decisions. Our services do not guarantee a match, relationship, or marriage.

We strictly prohibit human trafficking, including sexual exploitation, and aiding, abetting, facilitating, promoting, or encouraging trafficking, exploitation, or abuse. Harassment, coercion, violence, fraud, and sexual services in exchange for compensation are prohibited.

The relevant listing specifies the service, price, eligibility, and cancellation terms before purchase. You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may refuse or suspend participation for ineligibility, misconduct, safety concerns, or legal reasons, subject to applicable refund rights.

These policies do not waive mandatory consumer rights or exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded. California law applies except where mandatory laws applicable to you provide otherwise. Policy updates will be published with a revised effective date; material changes will receive additional notice where required.

You must not use our services to:

Engage in or assist human trafficking, sexual exploitation, grooming, abuse, coercion, violence, threats, stalking, or harassment.
Involve minors in dating services or create, solicit, or distribute child sexual abuse material.
Arrange prostitution, escort services, or sexual acts in exchange for compensation.
Impersonate someone, submit deceptive information, conduct romance scams, or solicit money through fraud.
Send unwanted sexual content or continue contact after someone asks you to stop.
Record, copy, disclose, or redistribute participant profiles, photographs, messages, or conversations without explicit permission, or use participant information for unrelated solicitation.
Disrupt events, share private access links with unauthorized people, or attempt unauthorized system access.
Share, display, or distribute sexually explicit or sexually suggestive images, videos, text, or links in any event space — including breakout rooms, text chat, and participant profiles — regardless of whether the content is shared consensually.

Report concerns to twmatchmakersv [ at ] gmail.com. We may investigate, remove content, restrict participation, suspend access, and contact authorities where legally required or permitted. You may contact us to request review of an enforcement decision. Our inbox is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services for immediate danger.

Pricing | 價格

Prices, currency, service details, and eligibility requirements are published on each event or booking page, including listings on Luma, Humanitix, or other platforms. Applicable taxes and mandatory fees are disclosed before payment.

There are no recurring charges unless recurring billing is separately disclosed and expressly authorized before purchase.

We verify requests and disclose or preserve available records only as required or permitted by law. We may seek clarification or challenge legally deficient requests. We can provide only records within our possession, custody, or control; independent platform records may need to be requested from that platform. Email submission does not replace legally required service of process.

We also receive transaction and registration records from the platforms used to provide our services.

We use this information to assess eligibility, deliver events and introductions, process matching results, communicate with participants, handle payments and support, address safety concerns, and meet legal obligations. We explain which profile information is shared and with whom before sharing it. Contact details for introductions are shared through the mutually agreed process. Marketing communications include an opt-out method.

We use platforms such as Luma and Humanitix for registrations and Zoom or similar meeting platforms for online events. Service information is stored on local devices and backed up through cloud storage services. Authorized personnel and providers may access information as needed to deliver services; relevant information may also be disclosed for legal compliance or safety purposes. Providers’ own privacy policies may apply.

Event photographs and recordings may be retained for internal documentation and backup. We provide notice and obtain legally required consent before recording or photographing participants. Public social media posts use blurred or masked identifying details unless the relevant participants explicitly consent to identifiable publication for that event. Event-specific notices explain the intended use and participation choices. Permission for internal recording does not itself authorize identifiable promotional use.

Website platform and cookies: Our website is hosted on Wix. Wix uses cookies and similar technologies to support website operation and security. Depending on the features enabled on our site, additional technologies may be used for analytics or marketing. Retention and safeguards: We store participant information on local devices and use cloud storage services for backup. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain relevant business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Access is limited to people who need the information to perform these tasks. You may contact us to request deletion, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten or deleted through the backup process. No storage or communication system can guarantee absolute security.

Refund Policy | 退款政策

This policy applies to the registration fee for our online speed-dating events (currently US$50 per session).

7 or more days before the event: Full refund of the ticket price.
Platform service fees: Third-party booking or payment processing fees may be non-refundable, depending on the ticketing platform's policies. However, for events booked through Luma, we currently provide a full refund of the total amount paid, including applicable platform fees, with no deductions for eligible cancellations made at least 7 days before the event.
Less than 7 days of the event: no cash refund. You may transfer your spot to an eligible friend (notify us by email 24 hours before the event) or receive a coupon of equal ticket value for a future session.
No-show: registration is forfeited, no refund and no coupon.
If we cancel or reschedule: full refund of the ticket price, or keep your spot for the rescheduled session — your choice.

How to request: email twmatchmakersv [ at ] gmail.com with "Refund Request + event date + your name". We reply within 3 business days. Refunds return to the original payment method (Stripe) within 5–10 business days; actual timing depends on your bank.
